Trustee Opportunities

TRUSTEE RECRUITMENT – GREENFIELD VALLEY, FLINTSHIRE

The Greenfield Valley Trust is looking for new trustees.

Running for 2kms between the settlements of Holywell and Greenfield in North Wales the Greenfield Valley embraces important medieval religious sites, former industrial mills (now scheduled monuments)  and beautiful water areas which were developed to power industry.

The Flintshire County Council-owned site has been developed over many years as the Greenfield Valley Heritage Park with historic buildings, a visitor centre, café and the largest museum in Flintshire.  The Heritage Park is overseen by the Greenfield Valley Trust.

In 2021 the Trust agreed a new strategy with a bold vision for the next 10 years and we are now looking to appoint trustees with the interest, skills and experience to help us deliver this ambition.

In return Trustees will get the opportunity to be part of a friendly team who are strongly committed to protecting and enhancing the Valley for the benefit of local people and visitors.  There is scope to play an influential role, using your time and knowledge to help us secure the future of the Valley and its important features. Currently a very popular local location, the Trust is keen to promote the Valley’s attractions to a wider audience and develop new facilities for both locals and visitors.

If you have expertise in:

  • Financial management
  • Communications and social media
  • Tourism, visitor attractions, sales and retail
  • Fundraising for good causes
  • Heritage and museums
  • Involving the community

We are interested to hear from you.

We currently have three trustee vacancies with further opportunities coming forward in 2023.

For further information send your contact details to thefuture@greenfieldvalley.com and we will get back to you.
