The Fostering Network (TFN) is the UK’s leading fostering charity. TFN provides membership services, including advice, guidance, and support to almost 59000 individual foster carers and more than 450 fostering service providers across the UK.
About the role
Step Up Step Down is a pioneering approach to supporting families on the edge of care, demonstrating a reduction in the numbers of children coming into care, and improved outcomes for children and families. At its heart are specialist, highly trained family support foster carers, who provide time limited, preventative support to up to four families at any one time.
The Programme Manager will manage the implementation and ongoing development of Step Up Step Down in Wales. Initially this will be based in two local authorities, working collaboratively with the services to embed the Step Up Step Down model. The programme manager will hold relationships with key stakeholders for the programme and provide line management for the two Step Up Step Down delivery leads.
About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate about improving the lives, experiences and outcomes for children and young people. We need you to have experience of managing programmes, leading teams, and working collaboratively with partner organisations. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to work within a trauma informed setting, with a solution focused approach
This role is pan Wales, we offer hybrid working and we have an office in Cardiff. The successful candidate must be able to travel to the Cardiff office as needed as well as attend events and activities across Wales.??
